MEET THE OWNER

Hi, I am so happy you are here! Iā€™m the founder of SoCo Sno, Shayla Clifton. Iā€™m a gummy candy connoisseur, spontaneous traveler, margarita critic, and lover of all doggos. My husband and I moved to Bryan-College Station in 2013, we briefly moved to New York City in 2018 but knew that we left our hearts in B/CS and have since called this community home.

OUR STORY

SoCo Sno was officially established in June 2020 but my entrepreneurship and food industry career actually began long before that. Growing up my love for cash registers, guest checks and creating menus with Word Art ran deep; so did serving up my famous grilled cheese sandwiches to my family, or whatever Momma was cooking that night. Quickly after graduating high school, I started waiting tables at a local Mexican food restaurant. My time waiting tables was so rewarding and allowed me to be a part of so many peoples special days, whether it be a celebration or a normal Tuesday evening, it was incredible getting to experience those times with them. I learned how valuable community is and will never take that for granted. You are probably wondering how all this relates to snow cones? Snow cones have always been one of my favorite summer treats, and the best, in my opinion, always come from a locally owned stand. With the plethora of time in 2020, I dreamt up SoCo Sno. The name itself serves dual purpose being born in South College Station with a nod to one of my favorite places, New York City.

We are looking forward to being a part of your day! We are also excited to announce that we will gladly be giving back to our community by hosting profit-sharing events.
